“Art-at-Love” Exhibition: Bridges!
Aug 1-Sep 30
Aug 1-Sep 30
Dear Friends and Patrons of Love Library,
We can find inspiration all around us! We are fortunate in central Pennsylvania to be close to both a beautiful urban setting on the Susquehanna River, as well as rolling hills, inviting woods and farm country. Our Love Library Art display for the months of August and September celebrates the bridges that define the city of Harrisburg along with the peace and tranquility of rural farmland.
Two local artists are currently displaying their work at George and Hettie Love Memorial Library:
Barns by Lynda Kochenour Ronemus
Bridges by Ginny Streckewald
Items are marked for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds are being generously donated to Friends of Love Library by the artists.
Please also join us for a Meet the Artist reception, open to the public:
September 17th from 4-5:15pm
The Penbrook Leos help maintain the Storywalk along the Paxtang-Penbrook strip of the Capital Area Greenbelt. Each season, a new story is put up for the community to enjoy. Some damage had been done to the boards, so a group of volunteers went out to make repairs at the beginning of August. They replaced the old story with a new one with a summer theme as well. If you're walking along the Greenbelt off Derry St., check out the story!
