Dear Friends and Patrons of Love Library,
You are cordially invited to stop by to see the newest art exhibition at Love Memorial Library featuring works of local artist, Mary Anna Borke from June 1-July 31.
A special meet-the-artist reception will be held on Thursday, June 18 th from 4-5:15 PM with an opportunity to chat with Ms. Borke about her 40-plus pictures from around the US and the world.
Mary Anna has resided in the Harrisburg Area for most of her 84 years. She is a graduate of John Harris High School and Elizabethtown College. Upon graduation, she began a long career working for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Upon her retirement, she was able to revisit photographs taken on her many travels near and far. Her love for travel began with a solo adventure to Ireland, the home of a great grandfather that she had never met. She continued exploring with friends and travel groups throughout her working career and pulled inspiration from scenes she captured across the globe. Mary Anna’s chosen medium is pastels, and her collection has been lovingly framed and presented for exhibition by her friend, Gloria Pfeifer.
Artwork displayed also may be purchased by cash or check:
larger framed pieces are $65
smaller framed pictures are $50
All proceeds are being generously donated to Friends of Love Library by the Artist.
